Death Toll for Storm Alberto Rises
On June 2, Cuba announced that seven people have died in Storm Alberto and two remain missing. Flooding in Cuba continues as thousands evacuate. (Reuters)

Wildfire in Colorado, New Mexico, and California
On June 3, thousands of acres burned after wildfires blazed in California, Colorado, and New Mexico. Over 2,000 people have been forced to evacuate across the three states. (CNN)

Guatemala’s Fuego Volcano Erupts
On June 4, 25 people died after Guatemala’s Fuego volcano erupted. Another 20 people were injured by the eruption, and the search for missing people continues. (CNN)

Death Toll in Guatemala Rises
On June 6, the death toll from the volcano eruption in Guatemala rose to 99. This is the volcano’s biggest eruption in 40 years. (Reuters)

Hawaiians Build Homes for Evacuees
On June 9, 20 temporary housing units were built to house families forced from their homes in Hawaii. An estimated 600 homes have been destroyed by the volcano eruption. (Reuters)

Indonesia Earthquake
On June 12, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 struck Sumatra. No damages or injuries have been reported. (Reuters)
Fires in Colorado Grow
On June 13, it was announced that 1,400 homes have been evacuated in Colorado since the wildfire began. The fire is only 15% contained. (CNN)

Earthquake in Japan
On June 17, a magnitude 6.1 quake in Osaka killed four people and injured hundreds. Factory lines were also halted amidst the quake. (Reuters)
Floods in India and Bangladesh
On June 19, flash floods were triggered by heavy rains in India and Bangladesh. The floods have killed dozen of people and displaced more than a million. Much of the flood was caused by the Brahmaputra river, which burst its banks. (Reuters)

Landslides in Vietnam
On June 25, it was announced that 7 people have died and another 12 are missing as a result of torrential rain in Vietnam. The rain has caused floods and landslides, which have caused $3.32 million worth of damages thus far. (Reuters)

Flood Waters Trap Soccer Team
On June 26, Thai rescuers announced their plan to drill a hole in the cave that 12 soccer players and their coach are believed to be in. The team has been trapped for four days due to flood waters and heavy rain. (Reuters)

Colorado wildfires Continue
On June 29, at least a dozen wildfires continued in Colorado as the drought worsened. Hundreds of residents have been evacuated. The fire has yet to be contained and is believed to be started by humans. (Reuters)

California Skies Turn Orange
On June 30, as the wildfires in San Francisco continued to blaze, the sky turned completely orange. Only 2% of the fire has been contained. (CNN)
