On Friday Oct. 28, 2016, 141 people are arrested at a Dakota Access Pipeline protest. They set up camp on private property, in the path of the $3.8 billion pipeline that is set to run from North Dakota through four states to the U.S. Gulf Coast refineries. Both Native Americans and environmentalists have been protesting the construction for months. Police in riot gear and armoured vehicles attempt to disperse the 330 protesters. The scene turns violent when protesters start fires, climb onto police vehicles, throw bottles and rocks at the officers; some are even arrested for attempting to shoot at police officers.
