Japanese artist Shinji Ohmaki takes his newest art exhibition to Hong Kong, blowing bubbles by the millions out into the harbor. Ohmaki says his piece is meant to evoke a feeling of transience and temporality, as if the whole world were to disappear like a bubble. Whether it brings up deep reflections or not, people in Hong Kong enjoy the display of several liters worth of bubbles blown each minute.

Bosnian Men Take the Dive for 450 Year Old Tradition
In the Bosnian town of Mostar, located in the south of the country, there is a yearly tradition for young people to dive from a 90-foot high bridge. This is the 451st annual dive in Mostar. 41 competitors took the plunge, as 10,000 spectators gather below to watch the show.

As Tensions Rise, South Korea Tests Their Missile Defense
With North Korea's persistence in developing nuclear arms, South Korea has been working with American allies to test their missile defense capabilities. Here, the joint forces begin a test launch. The image is incredibly striking, and so it has been included this week, but we must note that it is taken and spread by government agencies for potential propaganda purposes.

Prince Philip Makes Last Solo Appearance
Prince Philip, husband to Queen Elizabeth II of the U.K., attends a parade in front of Buckingham palace. This is his last public appearance as Captain General of the Royal Marines, and likely to be his last solo appearance in any capacity. The 96-year-old prince intends to finally retire from public life.

We discussed in our current events for June that the Supreme Court of Brazil was reopening a campaign finance case against the Rousseff-Temer ticket. In the months since, the opposition in Brazil has ramped up their calls for Temer's removal from office. Here, lawmakers take to the floor with banners demanding "Temer Out".

Kashmiri Militants Honor Fallen Rebels in Kashmir Conflict
A series of ambushes and military clashes in Indian-controlled Kashmir led to the deaths of two Indian soldiers and two Kashmiri rebels. Here, Kashmiri villagers hold a funeral for Suhail Ahmed, one of the rebels. The people in attendance help another Kashmiri militant up on stage, where he fires rounds into the air to honor the dead Ahmed. The violence in Kashmir has been one of the longest-running conflicts in modern history, beginning in the mid-1940s.
