Democratic senator from Georgia, delivered a vitriolic keynote address at the Republican National Convention in August, lambasting the Democratic nominee, Sen. John Kerry. “Our nation is being torn apart and made weaker because of the Democrats' manic obsession to bring down our commander in chief,” he said. Republicans declared him their favorite Democrat; Democrats accused him of betrayal. In an interview after the speech, a clearly agitated Miller said he wished he could challenge MSNBC's Chris Matthews to a duel.
