BBC executives, resigned in January, after British judge Lord Hutton concluded that British prime minister Tony Blair had not intentionally “sexed-up” the intelligence dossier about Iraq's weapons capabilities to justify war in Iraq, as reported by the BBC in May 2003. In 2003, Blair said intelligence reports indicated Saddam Hussein could launch biological and chemical weapons in 45 minutes. The BBC questioned the accuracy of the report and asserted that the Blair administration knew the information was unreliable but used it anyway to build a stronger case for war. Hutton censured the BBC for sloppy reporting and editing.
