Frank Jacob LE FEVRE, Congress, NY (1874-1941)
LE FEVRE Frank Jacob , a Representative from New York; born in New Paltz, Ulster County, N.Y., November 30, 1874; attended the public schools and the New Paltz Normal School; became engaged in banking; member of the State senate in 1902; appointed superintendent of the New York State building at St. Louis, Mo., during the Louisiana Purchase Exposition; elected as a Republican to the Fifty-ninth Congress (March 4, 1905-March 3, 1907); unsuccessful candidate for renomination in 1906; became president of the Huguenot National Bank at New Paltz, N.Y., in 1905; engaged in banking and fruit growing; died in Atlantic City, N.J., April 29, 1941; interment in Moravian Cemetery, Richmond, Staten Island, N.Y.
