Age: 38half of the first brother-to-brother, long snapper-to-punter combination in NFL history; drafted by Pittsburgh in 1987; played 15 seasons at center with Tampa Bay, L.A./Oakland Raiders and Washington; teamed with his younger brother, Matt, a punter, in Washington (1997-99); his last career snap led to a botched fourth-quarter field goal attempt and resulted in a 14-13 loss to Tampa Bay in the playoffs on Jan 25, 2000; diagnosed with testicular cancer in April 2000. He died of cancer.
