Age: 61epitomized the grit and determination of the Vince Lombardi-era Green Bay Packers; a third round pick out of Illinois in 1958, Nitschke played linebacker and was the defensive captain of the Packers' teams that won five NFL titles and the first two Super Bowls; All-Pro (1964-66); MVP of the 1962 NFL title game; played in 190 games and had 25 interceptions for 385 yards and two touchdowns; of a brief illness
