Evelyn P. Davis
television executiveAs vice president of the Children's Television Workshop, Davis brought Sesame Street to the attention of viewers in poor, urban areas. She was also a founder of the New York Coalition of 100 Black Women, a group that urged black women to become involved in politics and community affairs.
