    On this date in 1979, a tornado killed three people and injured 500 in Connecticut. The twister damaged more than 100 homes and damages were estimated at $200 million. The storm also wrecked 23 vintage airplanes in an outdoor exhibit at the Bradley Air Museum in the town of Windsor Locks.
