2006 Baseball Coming Attractions

St. Louis: (NL): The Cardinals broke ground on the site of the new Busch Stadium (Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. is the title sponsor) on Dec. 19, 2003. The site is on the northern edge of current Busch Stadium (Walnut Street) to the base of the elevated Interstate 40/64 highway (Poplar Street). The openair, baseball-only ballpark will offer a spectacular view of the Gateway Arch and St. Louis skyline. The seating capacity will be approximately 46,000. Estimated cost (including a new Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum) is $387.5 million. Opening is scheduled for April 2006.
