John Ignatius NOLAN, Congress, CA (1874-1922)
NOLAN John Ignatius , a Representative from California; born in San Francisco, Calif., January 14, 1874; attended the public schools; was an iron molder; member of the board of supervisors of the city and county of San Francisco in 1911; secretary of the San Francisco Labor Council in 1912; elected as a Republican to the Sixty-third and to the four succeeding Congresses and served from March 4, 1913, until his death; chairman, Committee on Patents (Sixty-sixth Congress), Committee on Labor (Sixty-seventh Congress); had been reelected in 1922 to the Sixty-eighth Congress; died in San Francisco, Calif., November 18, 1922; interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
