Juliet Mills

actress
Born: 11/21/1941
Birthplace: London, England

Best known for her portrayal of Phoebe Figalilly in the situation comedy The Nanny and the Professor (1970–71), Juliet Mills has never achieved the notoriety of her father, English actor Sir John Mills, or of her younger sister, child star Hayley Mills. Her career, though modest by some standards, has had its share of accolades. After leaving the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Mills took the role of Pamela Harrington in Five Finger Exercise (1959) in London, and later on Broadway, earning a Tony nomination. Her appearance opposite Jack Lemmon in Billy Wilder's Avanti (1972) yielded critical praise. In addition, Mills' performance in the television miniseries QB VII earned her an Emmy award for best supporting actress. Married to English actor Maxwell Caulfield since 1980, Mills appeared in the 1999 film The Other Sister. She is currently appearing as Tabitha Lenox in the NBC soap opera Passions (1999–).
