Tall, dark, and handsome actor and singer who first made his mark playing Sir Lancelot on Broadway opposite Richard Burton and Julie Andrews in the Lerner and Loewe musical Camelot (1960). He continued work on stage, winning a Tony for Happy Time (1968), while branching out into film with a voice-over role in the animal cartoon Gay Purr-ee (1962), and on-screen roles in films such as Honeymoon Hotel (1964) and The Underground (1970). He continued to perform in Las Vegas, and by the '80s was making mostly cameo appearances in films such as Atlantic City (1980) and Scrooged (1988).
