Winner of five golden Globe awards for her work in films and television mini series, she has 42 films under her belt, and continues to be a popular draw at Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Though publicly perceived as a sex kitten, she was shy as a child and remains devout in her personal life. She starred opposite Elvis Presley in Viva Las Vegas (1964) and developed a friendship that lasted until his death in 1977. Her other film credits include Bye Bye Birdie (1963), Carnal Knowledge (1971), Tommy (1975), Grumpy Old Men (1993) and Grumpier Old Men (1995) with Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon.
