About Maria
As a freelance author and historian, Maria is passionate about researching and finding creative and inspirational ways to share her learning. In 2009, Maria received her BA in History from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and interned at the Rhode Island Historical Society for the John Brown House and Museum. Utilizing years of restaurant experience, Maria spent time as a Craft Artistan and Food Historian at Plimoth-Pawtucket Museums (formally known as Plimouth Plantation), demonstrating 17th-century bread and pastry baking to visitors and school groups as well as researching historical recipes. In 2020, Maria completed an MFA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University and is now a freelance content creator and author. She lives in Providence, Rhode Island.
