Koch, Jim (C. James Koch) [key], 1949–, American brewery executive, b. Cincinnati. Although he came from a family of brewers, he initially worked for Outward Bound and as a manufacturing consultant before cofounding (1984) the Boston Beer Company with Rhonda Kallman. His company and its Samuel Adams Boston Lager helped spearhead the craft beer movement in the United States.
