Kaposvár

Kaposvár kŏˈpôshvär [key], city (1990 pop. 71,793), SW Hungary, on the Kapos River. It is a road and rail junction. Industries include textiles and the manufacture of bricks and agricultural equipment. Landmarks include an 18th-century church, a 19th-century town hall, and the ruins of an old castle.
