Chiemsee

Chiemsee kēmˈzā [key], lake, 31 sq mi (80 sq km), SE Germany, SE of Munich. It is drained by the Alz River. Many resorts are along its shores. On the largest of three islands is a palace built by Louis II of Bavaria in imitation of Versailles.
