Ukiah

Ukiah yo͞okīˈə [key], city (1990 pop. 14,599), seat of Mendocino co., W Calif., on the Russian River; inc. 1876. Fruit is packed and shipped from Ukiah, and wine is made. Livestock is also raised, timber is produced, and there is dairying. One of the world's few international latitude observatories is located in the city.
