Ruston

Ruston rusˈtən [key], city (1990 pop. 20,027), seat of Lincoln parish, N La.; settled 1884 as a railroad town and inc. the same year. It is the trading center of a farm, logging, and natural-gas region. Agricultural products include cattle, poultry, peaches, and blueberries. Wood products, lamps and lighting fixtures, and soft drinks are manufactured. Louisiana Tech Univ. is located in the city.
