Culver City's chief manufactures are rubber products and computers. For many
years it was a center of the U.S. motion-picture industry, whose roots in
the city date to c.1915. In the Hayden Tract section, architect Eric Owen
Moss has since the late 1980s transformed its buildings into a diverse group
of innovative structures that now house advertising agencies, design
businesses, media firms, and other creative enterprises. Directly south of
the city is Los Angeles International Airport.
