Merab

Merab mĭrˈăb [key], in the Bible, daughter of Saul and husband of Adriel. In Second Samuel, the sons of Adriel are, depending on the translation, either born to or brought up by Michal, Saul's younger daughter; the Hebrew word is most commonly translated as bear or beget. Many authorities regard the use of Michal here as a mistake for Merab (which is found in some, but not most, manuscripts), and some translations substitute Merab for Michal.
