Felix, Allyson Michelle, 1985–, American sprinter, b. Los Angeles. She is a six-time Olympic champion, winning the 200-m (2012), the 4×100-m (2012, 2016), and the 4×400-m races (2008, 2012, 2016), and has won silver in the 200-m (2004, 2008) and 400-m races (2016). She also has 13 world gold medals, a track-and-field record, in the 200-m (2005, 2007, 2009), 400-m (2015), 4×100-m (2007, 2011, 2017), 4×400-m (2007, 2009, 2011, 2017, 2019), and 4×400-m mixed relay races (2019); 3 silver, in the 400-m (2011), the 4×100-m (2015), and 4×400-m races (2015); and 2 bronze, in the 200-m (2011) and the 400-m (2017). Following a difficult pregnancy and childbirth in 2018, Felix became an advocate for financial protections for women in elite athletics who become pregnant and for reducing maternal mortality among black women.
