Brewer's: Patri-Passians

One of the most ancient sectaries of the Christian Church, who maintained the oneness of the God-head. The founder was Praxeas, of Phrygia, in the second century. The appellation was given to them by their opponents, who affirmed that, according to their theory, the Father must have suffered on the cross.
