Brewer's: Latri'a

and Duli'a. Greek words adopted by the Roman Catholics; the former to express that supreme reverence and adoration which is offered to God alone; and the latter, that secondary reverence and adoration which is offered to saints. (Latria is the reverence of a latris, or hired servant, who receives wages; dulia is the reverence of a doulos or slave.)
