Attack in Sehwan

88 Die in Bombing
Bombing in Sehwan
On February 16, just a few days after the deadly attack in Lahore, a bomber targeted the Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine in Sehwan, in the province of Sindh. The region has a large population of Sufis, a minority Muslim group that has historically been persecuted. The blast killed upwards of 88 people, and wounded at least 200. 24 of the deceased were young children.

Attack in Egypt

2 Churches Attacked in Egypt
Egypt Church Attack
On April 8, terrorists affiliated with ISIL (also known as ISIS or Daesh) detonated explosions near two different Coptic Christian churches on the holiday of Palm Sunday. 45 people were killed and 50 injured in explosions in the Egyptian cities of Tanta and Alexandria. Egypt declared a state of emergency in response. Coptic Christianity is one of the oldest religions in Egypt.(Al Jazeera)

Attack in Syria

Car Bomb Targets Convoy Fleeing Violence in Syria
Attack in Syria
On April 15, a car bomb directed by ISIL agents hit a group of buses outside of the besieged city of Aleppo, Syria. The buses were carrying citizens to safety away from the fighting in the government-affiliated towns of Al-Fu'ah and Kafriya. The bomb detonated, killing over 100 people, making it one of the deadliest incidents of the conflict. (BBC)

Attack in Manchester

Bombs Detonated at Ariana Grande Concert in United Kingdom
Attack in Manchester
On May 22, terrorists targeted an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England. Police rushed to respond to explosions at Manchester Arena after an explosive device was set off among the crowd. The blast left over twenty dead, and many more injured. The primary suspect is Salman Abedi, a Manchester citizen born to Libyan immigrant parents, who died during the blast.

Attack in Barcelona

Terror Attack Strikes Barcelona
Attack in Barcelona
On August 17, in what was declared a terrorist attack, a van driver ran down a crowd on La Rambla, the central commercial street in Barcelona, Spain. At least twelve people were killed, and many more wounded. Police immediately detained two suspects for questioning, and in the following days several more were taken in or killed in shootouts. ISIL, also known as ISIS, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Attacks in Nasiriya
Members of ISIL staged multiple attacks near Nasiriyah in the southern Dhi Qar Governorate on September 14, killing at least 50 people and injuring 87 others. (BBC)

Attack in Somalia
On October 14, two bomb explosions in Mogadishu were reported to have killed over 300 people and injured hundreds more. One of the bombs detonated next to a fuel truck, creating a deadly fireball.

Attack in Afghanistan

Suicide Bombers Kill 72 at Afghanistan Mosques
Attack in Afghanistan
On October 20, two mosques in Afghanistan were targeted by suicide bombers. The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack at the Imam Zaman mosque, which killed 39 people. A separate attack at a mosque in central Ghor province yielded 33 victims.

Egypt Mosque Attack Death Toll Reaches 305
Attack in Egypt
A militant attack on a mosque in Egypt on November 24 left 305 people dead and another 128 wounded. The attack was later claimed by ISIS.
