Delaney jumped ship from NYPD Blue and joined Steven Bochco's latest lawyer-cop drama. The City of Brotherly Love proves just as gritty as the Big Apple for Delaney, who plays Kathleen Maguire, a sharp, straight-talking defense attorney whose clients expose her to the seamy side of the city. Her ex-husband (Secor) is an assistant district attorney with his eye on a political career. With a daunting case load, Maguire reluctantly hires Will Froman (Everett Scott), an over-worked public defender who's desperate to enter a private practice.
