Documentary filmmaker Kopple leaves behind the American heartland to take on an American cultural phenomenon — Woody Allen. Wild Man Blues follows the actor/director/musician and his Dixieland band on a European tour that is certainly meant more for the amusement of Allen fans and detesters than jazz aficionados. Behind-the-scene moments with Allen's new bride, Soon-Yi Previn, his band and the press provide glimpses of Allen in all his neurotic glory.
