Few people missed Warren Beatty's absence. He'd been out of the movies since Bulworth. Well, Beatty's back, headlining a disastrous sex comedy whose frantic combinations of decent actors do nothing to combat its lack of interesting material. Warren Beatty and Diane Keaton play a ridiculously wealthy Manhattan couple, best friends with another of the same, Goldie Hawn and Garry Shandling. Both men are cheating on their wives. Restlessness is the sign of an insecure movie, and before you know it, Beatty is racing around the country, falling for every young hottie across his path (Jenna Elfman, Andie MacDowell). NRA Chairman Charlton Heston “acts” as a powerful right-wing gun advocate. This cameo should be funny except for the fact that powerful right-wing gun advocates aren't funny at all. Town and Country has little to offer.
