Based on the Tarzan stories by Edgar Rice Burroughs |
Tarzan swings back into action, with all his usual animal friends – and a corny formulaic story – in tow. Van Dien sticks pretty close to the traditional brawny but blank-eyed Lord Greystoke, ready to take on any human swine who threatens to destroy the African wilderness. Also returning to his side (eventually) is the loyal Jane (March), who challenges cigar-smoking, whiskey-drinking thugs in order to protect her man. Tarzan and the Lost City falls flat and fails to capture the spirit of Edgar Rice Burroughs's timeless tale.
