Yikes, sci-fi thrillers have sunk to a new low with Soldier, a banal futuristic bomb. Todd (Russell) is one of a dying breed of soldiers trained since birth to be hardened killers. The soldiers have been replaced by a genetically altered race of killers, even more sadistic than their predecessors. Left for dead on another planet-like habitat, Todd awakens to find he is among a commune of peaceniks who teach him human emotion. But these kindly people are about to be decimated by the machines, and it's up to our soldier Todd to save them. You've seen it all before.
