A mix of animation and live action, this special-effects fest for kids pits an army of action figures called the Commando Elite against rival toy faction, the Gorgonites. Their battleground: a suburban kitchen. Led by drill sergeant Chip Hazard (voice of Jones), the pumped-up plastic warriors are animated brilliantly, but fail to come alive as memorable characters. These toy soldiers may be cool to watch, but when it comes to personality, they've got nothing on Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
