The Love Boat sails on, setting a course for adventure and plenty of new romance for the grizzled set. Crotchety geezers Matthau and Lemmon team up once again, offering the geriatric generation some summertime fun. Foxy retiree Charlie Gordon (Matthau) signs up with his widower friend Herb Sullivan (Lemmon) to be dance hosts aboard a cruise ship. Charlie sees the job as an opportunity to woo rich dames. Cannon shines as a vampy gold digger, outdone only by Stritch, who plays Cannon's vampy gold-digging mother.
