Glancing over the cast list, one would think Robbins and Lawrence make an unlikely pair. Actually, the actors share a chemistry that makes Nothing to Lose an unexpected pleasure — ok, a guilty pleasure. Yuppie executive Nick Beam (Robbins) figures he's lost everything that matters when he discovers his wife (Preston) and unctuous boss (McKean) in bed together. Nick quietly backs out of his house and climbs into his Range Rover only to be carjacked by T. Paul (Lawrence). “Did you pick the wrong guy on the wrong day,” Beam says as he speeds off with T. Paul in tow. Nick and T. Paul become fast, though bickering, buddies and concoct a plan to steal a cool $2 million from Nick's boss. Formulaic and at times sentimental, but worth a look.
