An oddly cast spoof that misses the mark and emerges as one of the worst films of 1996. After a stint in a mental hospital, where he was treated for paranoid schizophrenia, trigger-happy mob boss Vic (Dreyfuss) returns to the underworld to find his boys jockeying for his position. Vic's number one man, Mickey Holliday (Goldblum), is ahead of the pack. Also in contention for the top spot is an odd lot of mobsters played by Idol, MacLachlan and Reynolds. The film spends too much time parodying gangland personalities and too little time exploring its characters.
