A wrenching film with devastating moral questions that are not easily answered. Roger (Gourmet) runs a construction company in Antwerp, Belgium, and exploitatively employs immigrant labor. When a worker falls from scaffolding, Roger's 15-year-old son, Igor (Renier), begs his father to take the man to the hospital. Roger refuses, fearing an investigation, and lets the man die. He insists Igor go along with the cover-up. The boy is caught between loyalty to his father and the dead man's family.
