Just when he thinks he has everything — his wife (Remini) buys him a 70-inch television set for his basement oasis — Doug Heffernan (James) gets more than he bargained for: His father-in-law (Stiller) and sister-in-law (Rieffel) move in, and the tv set is banished to the couple's tiny bedroom. Doug's status as the cool guy in the neighborhood instantly erodes.
