Don't be mistaken, this is not a sequel to A Fish Called Wanda, but it is a reunion of sorts. Though the zany team occasionally scores with giddy antics, the cuddly creatures, which range from bears to lemurs to wallabys, emerge as the big stars. The film takes aim at the bottom-line-obsessed corporate culture with tycoon (á la Rupert Murdoch) zoo owner Rod McCain (Kline) importing Rollo Lee (Cleese) to get the zoo out of the red, though Lee's experience with animals extends only to eating them. Rod also recruits his boorish son, Vince (also Kline), and voluptuous executive Willa Weston (Curtis). The management team decides to only offer fierce creatures and the pets of the rich and famous at the zoo. It's not as uproariously funny as A Fish Called Wanda, but you could do a lot worse at the local cineplex.
