Best Known as: creator of Kraft Cheez Wiz and McDonald's French fries
Food scientist whose research helped create iconic foods like McDonald's french fries and Cheez Wiz for Kraft Foods. After working at Kraft he bought four McDonald's restaurants in Wisconsin. Traisman suggested to the president of McDonald's that if they deep fried and then froze French fries they could supply all McDonald's restaurants with french fries even when it was not potato season. Frozen fries are supplied to 31,000 restaurants worldwide today. He died of heart disease.
