Doug Wickenheiser
Age: 37St. Louis Blues center from 1983-87, best remembered for his overtime playoff goal in 1986 that became known as the "Monday Night Miracle"; on May 12, 1986 St. Louis rallied for three goals to force overtime against Calgary in Game 6 of the Campbell Conference Finals and Wickenheiser added the winner at 7:30 of the extra period; scored 111 goals and had 156 assists in 556 games over a 10-season career that also included stops with Montreal, Vancouver, the N.Y. Rangers and Washington from 1980-90; his battle with cancer and #14 jersey became an inspiration for the team during the two seasons prior to his death. Died of cancer.
