Virgil Garnett Trice, Jr.

Birthplace: Indianapolis, Ind.
Virgil Trice earned both B.S. and M.S. degrees from Purdue University in 1945. He also received an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1970. Trice served as a chemical engineer at the Argonne National Laboratory from 1947 to 1971. He then worked as a nuclear waste management engineer for the Energy Research and Development Administration from 1971 to 1977, and later became a senior program analyst for the U.S. Department of Energy until his retirement in 1992, where he focused on nuclear waste management.
