Glenn Seaborg
Age: 86important Nobel-winning chemist who was involved in the discovery of ten atomic elements, including plutonium (in 1941) and seaborgium (in 1974; officially named for him in 1997). Although he worked on the Manhattan Project, which led to the use of the atomic bomb in World War II, Seaborg later lobbied ardently against nuclear testing.
