Jill Carroll, 2006 News

freelance reporter for the Christian Science Monitor, was kidnapped at gunpoint in January in Baghdad after she left the office of Sunni politician Adnan Dulaimi. She was held for 82 days by a group called the Revenge Brigade, which demanded that the United States release all Iraqi women prisoners. She was freed in late March, after she sympathized with the Iraqi insurgents and condemned the American government in a video.
