Although Guckert signed into the White House using his real name, Press Secretary Scott McClellan addressed him by the pseudonym. A writer for the conservative online Talon News, Guckert frequently asked McClellan softball questions that toed the administration's line. Guckert resigned in February, after bloggers discovered his real name and revealed that he had links to pornographic websites. Other members of the press corps had often challenged Guckert and questioned his motives.
