prominent Chinese-American businesswoman, was indicted in May on espionage-related charges. Authorities think that while she was working as an informant to the FBI, she was a double agent, passing on highly sensitive documents to Beijing. She and her FBI contact, James Smith, had a 20-year affair, during which time Leung accessed the classified information. The FBI paid Leung about $1.7 million for her 20 years of service. Smith was indicted on charges of wire fraud and gross negligence.
