Democratic congressman from California, found himself the center of a media frenzy during the summer after former Justice Department Bureau of Prisons intern Chandra Levy, 24, went missing from Washington, DC, in late April. Condit initially denied his relationship with Levy was romantic, as her family had alleged, but later reportedly admitted to police that he had had an affair with her. He has not been identified as a suspect.
