Planning and Zoning Board, 1974-1978; delegate to seven Democratic National Conventions from 1980 to 2004; elected as a Democrat to the Ninety-eighth and to the four succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1983-January 3, 1993); was not a candidate for renomination in 1992 to the One Hundred Third Congress; is a resident of Hollywood, Fla.
