Marge Schott

former owner of the Cincinnati Reds. She bought the team in 1984, becoming the first woman to buy a Major League team. Her downfall began in 1992, when colleagues complained that she used racial and ethnic slurs when referring to players. She was suspended from the team's operations in 1993 and again in 1996. She relinquished control of the team in 1999.
