David Brinkley

pioneering journalist who, with Chet Huntley, hosted NBC's influential Huntley-Brinkley Report. Known for his clipped voice and candid, often skeptical comments, Brinkley went on to anchor NBC's Nightly News. In 1981, he left NBC for ABC, where he hosted the Sunday morning talk show This Week with David Brinkley.
